The first thing my family said when I told them I was going to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico was, “it’s NOT SAFE! AND that I should pick a different tropical location.”

I thought this was crazy! A handful of my friends have lived in Puerto Rico for years and not once EVEN during the hurricanes did, they feel unsafe!

Needless to say, I brushed it off and went anyway! I AM SO HAPPY I DID!

Literally a once in a lifetime opportunity!

I have the best luck when it comes to last minute travel. Let me fill you in. SO, when I was in Florida for two months a friend of mine said he and his chick were going to PR and asked if I wanted to go! DUH!! Of course, I wanted too.

Where in Puerto Rico? Agaudilla

Puerto Rico is BIG, so we mostly stayed in Aguadilla!

The island definitely suffered from Hurricane Maria, BUT surprisingly it looked like it was doing well. When I went, they were conserving water AKA you had a day of water and a day without. BUT most places were accommodating, or we just drank BOOZE and showered in the ocean (it is so warm). YOLO.

Luckily, we were able to stay on the Coast Guard base for about $80 a person for 4 nights! Talk about a deal!

Staying off base, no worries. You can catch a deal at all hotels in the area.

Bikini Babe Beaches

If you like Pina Colada’s and exploring, you are in the right spot!

So many sandy beaches! Like the white sand beaches, you see in the movies!

Locals Art at Crashboat Beach

Crashboat Beach – FAMOUS and super popular beach in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico!

Shipwrecks by the pier. Great for snorkeling.

There is a pier that you can walk, yummy local food to chow down on and even parrots to hold for the ‘gram! On the far end of the beach you will see a line up of boats.

As one of the more popular beaches even fisherman cruise straight out from the beach! And straight onto the beach so keep an eye out!

Jobos Beach in Aguadilla

Jobo’s – Another Famous and popular spot for everyone! Hit up Umas for some bites and booze!

Bars on the sand and the crystal blue water to take your drinks down too. Bikini Babes this is your spot!

Walk out from the bar go right and into the woods a little.

El Pozo de Jacinto is a natural coral reef that is the size of a cliff!  Waves crashing into the cliff and even splashing up on the rocks. There is even a big whole that the water splashes up through. AHHH heaven!

Natural Coral Reef Rock in Puerto Rico

Surfers Beach – OBVI where all the surfer’s go BUT you have the jungle, the sand, and the ocean all right there. Bikini Babes dream!

If you turn right out of the beach and drive through the golf course area, keep cruising, you will find an old building that is completely turned into ruins now.

RUINAS DEL FARO – right past the beach where you can check out these ruins! It is an old lighthouse, you can’t tell because there are only a few walls let standing.

Survival Beach, for my military peeps. You have to be on base to get down to it AND it is sketchy AF! Holding onto a rope so you do not fall and the hike down is about 15 minutes, SO pack light! BUT it is a private beach and like all the others beautiful.

We covered the beaches. NOW you need your BITES & BOOZE BREAKDOWN!

Bites & Booze

TIFFER TIP:

Puerto Rico is considered island vibes and they work on island time! So be patient, enjoy the ambiance and DON’T get mad if you have to wait for your food!

Levain’s such delicious breakfast and coffee! I fell in love with their quiche (so not my typical bfast). Ate here every day like a BASIC B.

Maria’s on the beach, locals love it! So yummy! After you eat, head down to the water to hangout! (SUNS out BUNs out in true Bikini Babe fashion)

Debut is right next to Levains and a killer dinner. Sit outside to enjoy that warm weather. Being in Cali I miss the humidity; I know I am CRAZY!

El Mundo great tapa’s style! My girlfriend and I shared almost every tapa and it was BOMB!!!

Mexican Fiesta in PR

La Frontera Mexican – one of my besties lives in PR and it happened to be her bday while we were in town so Margaritas all around (OMG I rhymed haha) killer food and margs to die for YUM!

TIFFER TIPOrder fresh! Don’t be afraid to order from food trucks! That will be some of the best food you will find! NO JOKE!

Beach Side Cocktails in Aguadilla

Eclipse – we did not eat here BUT the drinks and ambiance were everything a Bikini Babe wants. Wine, Beaches and a private pool! We were the only group there, so we drank and took a dip in the pool then headed to the beach to lounge around and soak in the sunset! BY FAR MY FAV!!!

Bikini Babe Adventures in Aguadilla

Cabo Rojo Lighthouse  – literally on the cliff over 100 feet high! FREE to check out the lighthouse and the cliff. Don’t get too close to the edge, it is high and you prob won’t survive. Beautiful pics though! Check me out twerking!

Lighthouse Cabo Rojo

Playa de Sucia – translation dirty beach BUT it is completely opposite. AND a beautiful beach almost in a cove right outside of the lighthouse (you should drive) BUT the most crystal water I have ever seen! WOW (secluded beach)

Crystal Blue Water in Aguadilla

Window Cave – we didn’t go because the weather got SUPER shitty! BUT check out these epic pics! It is a small hike up to a window that looks out into Puerto Rico’s jungle with the river that runs below, sounds magical! This is a guided tour.

Zip Lining (mikee did this with his dad) they said it was epic and the longest zipline in the world (fact check) It was on the other side of the island so we did not make it there BUT next time, Imma get my Bikini Babe Buns out there.

San Sebastian Waterfalls and Rope Swing – tourists and locals come here all the time. Bring a cooler and get ready to chill. When you pull up there is a bar with snacks! Yummy fries and shots! OBVI.

As soon as we hit the trail our friends ran into a local who is always there. He helps out tourists for free but love beer (wink, wink).

First stop waterfall, it was huge (how big) my friend jumped from the top because he is crazy, and a girlfriend jumped from the shorter section! WOW they are bad asses. Me, I just hung out in the water and on the rocks sipping on cervezas.

If you walk down further, you will get to a rope swing (it is a decent walk but so worth it) another pool with a long rope just waiting for you to climb up and jump in!

This was one of my favorite days just being somewhere so beautiful and embracing everything Aguadilla, Puerto Rico had to offer.

Unfortunately, my phone got lost BUT I was not going to let it ruin my time!

So what did we learn Bikini Babes?

Aguadilla, Puerto Rico is safe. Always go to the waterfalls and eat like a local! Check out these spots for a good time! One of my favorite parts of the islands is there isn’t really a bad time to visit! Rain will always be a thing but so will sunshine and beautiful beaches!
