But, having goals and celebrating them are what really keeps me focused and on track.
1. Sweat it out. Workout first thing in the morning, before my mind and body have time to talk me out of it.
Getting my blood flowing just gives me energy, endorphins and the sense of accomplishment. Even if it is just a quick 30 minute yoga sesh!
2. Cooking. (Full Disclosure) my kitchen is small and not the best to lets say pretend I am on a cooking show, but it gets the job done.
Making yummy food and especially desserts (I always lick the bowl) just makes me happy and again I feel accomplished. Plus, now more than ever our bodies need the extra nutrients and love!
3. Fresh Air. As SIP is slowly being lifted. Fingers crossed the end of May for us!
If you are hesitant to venture out (totally do not blame you) You can always open your windows, take an early morning stroll before everyone is up, chill on your porch, balcony or backyard if you have one. I have seen a lot of people hop on their roofs even. Babes are even tanning on their driveways.
Go the extra mile for that D – Vitamin D that is!
4. Do something you love. Put on your fav guilty pleasure or movie, crack open a bottle of your fav vino, run a warm bath and give yourself the self love your deserve.
5. Socialize. Easier said then done… Actually the world has really given us all the options, you can call a friend, FaceTime a family member, have a Happy Hour on Zoom or even have a House Party.
Have you House Partied? Such a fun app. you and your girls can hop on (BYOB) and the app lets you play different games, catch up with your besties all on your screen.
Staying balanced isn’t about having it together ALL the time, but about letting it going and being okay with it.
Now more than ever we need to show each other and ourselves kindness and understanding.
It is okay to be lazy, drink too much, indulge in dessert more regularly. Just don’t lose yourself in the emotions. I am here for you babe!
How are you staying balanced?
