Best Views to Grab A Drink & see San Francisco

The Bay Area is known for having some of the best views in the country. I know because I have done everything I can to catch the best view in the city. After you read this post you will know where to go to see the best views San Francisco has to offer. If I am missing any, let me know!

Theses places are perfect to end your day. Whether you are visiting San Francisco for work, here are a few sights you can squeeze in during your trip,  or for pleasure, check out my 17 Must See List.

Where: Union Square Hilton

WOW! When you get on the elevator you go up to the 47th floor. The entire lounge has floor to ceiling windows and literally the best views of the city…absolutely breathtaking. I don’t know if I love the day or night view better! If you go for happy hour, bring your shades because the view will blind you, mainly because of the sun! LOL

A Florida friend brought us here when he came to visit and since we have taken all visitors here. The ambiance is elegant, posh/modern, classy, but not to the point where you need to be dressed up. The drinks are great, they have light snacks – aka charcuterie boards, mixed nuts and olives. But nothing of any real substance. This is the perfect place to end a day of tourist-ing around the city and to take in the views from all angles. You can sit right on the glass and watch the sun go down.

Where: Marriott Marquis

Notice a theme? The hotels are the spot for a killer view in the city. The Marriott is located off Mission Street in the Financial District. I have stayed in this hotel it is near one of my favorite breakfast places, the Grove. But back to the view it has a unique window where you can peak through and see all the buildings, your truly have a feel of being in a concrete jungle. The food was great too!

Where: Loews Regency Hotel

On the 40th floor of the hotel they have a rooftop perfectly named ‘Spirits in the Sky’.  This is on my list to go to next. The location of the hotel is in the middle of financial district and all of the big beautiful buildings. Perfect location to see both the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Bridge.

Where: Mark Hopkins Hotel

I heard this place was amazing and it is listed on a lot of Pinterest posts. Unfortunately, that was not my personal experience. The vibe at the Top of the Mark is an old school, formal, upscale, clothed tables and quiet. Reminds me of something my Grandmother would take me to. If you are looking for something along those lines this is your spot. If you want something with a more modern, lounge vibe keep reading.

Where: Mission District

Latin American bites on a rooftop located in the Mission. We came here to celebrate our friend’s engagement over the summer. As we cheers’ed our tequila shots in celebration we could take in the view of the whole city of San Francisco. Growing up I never got to enjoy the hustle and bustle of cities. The buildings lit up is the perfect backdrop for any evening. You can never go wrong with Mexican either.
